Here's another 1949 view of the Forsyth Street doors at Furchgott's. Partly reflected in the glass is the Levy (Saxelbye) Building, erected in 1927 and still standing. It housed a competitor, Levy's, one of the city's' pioneer department stores. In later years, this business went by the name "Levy-Wolf."
