During the later 1800s, a magazine published this picture of a pioneer Florida family. If these folks could roll through Jacksonville today, no doubt they would be amazed by the cars, the skyscrapers, and the Skyway monorail system. (In the image above, the website manager combined the old magazine picture with a recent Jax photo and then added special effects.)
